Many towns in Colorado boomed in the Gold Rush of 1849, hence place names like Silverton and Eureka. Accordingly, locally mined silver and gold can still be purchased in Denver, often used in pieces of jewelry alongside native turquoise. Other relics of the wild west, such as leather cowboy boots and wide-brimmed hats, can be found most everywhere and make adventurous additions to a vintage wardrobe.
