'The Church' is no misnomer. Once a functioning place of worship built in the high-beamed gothic style, stained glass windows and hundreds of candles still suggest an air of piety. The rowdy activity taking place on the dance floor can hardly be called pious, but may lead you to experience a spiritual ecstasy all the same.
Denver is no Berlin, so a venue with character as bold as that of The Church is a valuable treasure. International, national and local DJ's play here. With a playlist of salsa, bachata, reggeton and cumbia Latin Saturdays can be especially fun, but be prepared for curious (though not unfriendly) glances if you aren't hispanic or latin yourself.
The rooftop patio offers one of the city's best views.
