The modern Dublin
Docklands9
Why locals love it
Dublin never lets you forget that you are on an island. Docklands is an area located in the southeast of the city, where the Grand Canal and the River Liffey join their journey to the Irish Sea. The Grand Canal Square is a new urban open space located in front of the Theatre and one of the most modern and bright zones of Dublin.

Why you should visit it
if you're ready to enjoy a combination of urban tourism, chill out atmosphere and yes, water, Docklands is the place to go. It offers not only interesting things to do, like seeing a play or a concert in the magnificent Grand Canal Theatre, but is also a perfect place to just enjoy the view.
Special tip
The best moment to go is just before sunset and to stay until it gets a little dark, so you can see thousands of lights lit in the square.
