Located spitting distance from Grafton Street many men have wiled away a few hours while the the other half shops. Established in 1779 there is a real feeling of history in this establishment. If the walls could tell their stories patrons would be kept enthralled for hours.
The pub is old and narrow so be prepared that if it's busy it takes a while to get served and you many not get a seat (there are more upstairs) but the wait is worth it. They show sport but other than that all the noise comes from conversation.
As with increasing numbers of Dublin pubs you can now buy the t-shirt as a memento of your visit, assuming of course that you care to be reminded...
