Why locals love it
The Civic offices, which house this exhibition, were controversially built over the site of one of the richest Viking excavations in Europe. That is largely lost now and this exhibit illustrates the origins of the city. The near by and privately run Dublinia (www.dublinia.ie) is also worth a visit (Adults €7.50)

From a window in the corner of the room you can look down upon an excavated section of the old city wall
