Why locals love it
Unlike traditional science museums the science gallery has exhibitions that focus on one theme at a time. The exhibits change every couple of months and are always on cutting edge and emerging sciences and technologies. Visitors are encouraged to be hands on and join the discussion and sometimes the experiments too.
Why you should visit it
Special events relating to the current exhibition are run on an on-going basis. Many are child friendly and hands on so are a great way of introducing little people to science and research. The staff are very engaging and friendly too which ensures there is nothing stuffy about this place.
Special tip
There can be a week or two of 'down time' as new exhibits are installed so check the website before your visit to see whats on.
