Once you enter the cloister of the Franciscan monastery you can really feel the peace of this place and enjoy a walk around, also visiting a small museum with century old, still preserved items. The pharmacy dates back to 1317 and is the third oldest still functioning pharmacy in the world.

Why you should visit it

The collection of liturgical and art objects is exhibited in a Renaissance hall, containing the inventory of the old Franciscan pharmacy, paintings by old masters, valuable specimens of gold-work and rare books.

The cloister is so peaceful and quiet with original Gothic sculptures from the 14th century. They show various animals, people and even monsters but my favourite is definitely a small man with his head and extremities beneath a double pillar. The man looks like he was crushed by the pillar... 14th century sculptor sure did have a good sense of humour.
