Why locals love it
K21 is quite a special art venue - the building is an old House of Parliament (Ständehaus) but the exhibitions are very up to date as this gallery hosts young international artists. As you will see inside, it is not only art that will overwhelm you.

Why you should visit it
K21 is one third of the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, art collection of North Rhine-Westphalia. (The other galleries are called K20 and F3.) This place with an enormous glass dome - look up when in foyer - focuses on contemporary art that often makes you speechless.

Check the installation "in orbit" by Tomás Saraceno (opening in March 2017)
