Cameo is a unique place to watch the movies. It is not a multiplex cinema, but a picturehouse from the past, the oldest surviving one in Scotland. The history of this little art cinema dates back as far as 1914. Cameo has almost all of its original decor intact, and the Edwardian splendour gives the place a special character. Enjoy the movies, and visit the Cameo bar for a pre-movie bite or a post-movie drink.
Special tip
Cameo has been a venue for the Edinburgh International Film Festival since 1949, and it is one of the best independent cinemas in the UK.
