Why locals love it

The popular cafe operator, Milk has recently opened its latest branch here which made the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop a perfect weekend brunch destination for the whole family. Conveniently the building is next to the cycle path - many regulars arrive by bike and then have a wee rest sipping their coffee and watching the artists working hard.

Why you should visit it

At Milk you can literally have brunch surrounded by working sculptors. The cafe offers lots of vegetarian&vegan options and caters for special dietary requirements such as wheat/dairy/gluten free. The workshop hosts regular exhibitions, talks and seminars, and you can even join sculpture courses ranging from clay and stone to ceramics.

Special tip

The building itself is rather special and worth the visit - ask for a tour at the upstairs office, you might get lucky and they will show you around!

Has a great wee cafe that is run by the same people who run Milk. Tasty fresh food at a good price
