Peter's Yard is located next to the green Meadows, in the upcoming area of the Quartermile development. It's a Swedish bakery and café with modern, bright interior and glass walls, in perfect contrast with the neigbouring historic buildings of the Royal Infirmary. It's a favourite place of trendy students, but not a budget option.
Why you should visit it
It's a perfect place for a snack, if you are near the Meadows and feeing peckish. Besides delicious coffee and Swedish bakery products, including fresh homemade Swedish knäckebröd (crispbread), Peter's Yard also offers tasty soups and sandwiches. In good weather you can sit outside, sip your coffee and enjoy the sunshine.
Special tip
On a sunny day visit their To Go store for a take-away coffee and cake, and head to the Meadows for picnic.
