Why locals love it

The Stockbridge Market is the Sunday sister of the Saturday Farmers Market. The stalls are located next to the bridge over the Water of Leith, in a scenic village-like environment. Although the trading area is rather small, there is always a great range of local suppliers.

Why you should visit it

Why not to dedicate your Sunday exploring the bohemian Stockbridge area and have your breakfast at the Stockbridge Market. You can also do your weekly organic food shopping along with souvenir shopping here. Stalls offer a wide range of products from fresh seafood to fruit and vegetables, from bakery treats to hand-crafted soaps and jewellery.

Special tip

Check the market's website for the most up-to-date list of weekly traders.

Lots of variety at this market from local produce to hand-made yummy food that you can eat on the site.

We visited on Sunday. Although it was raining heavily, there was plenty of interesting things to find. Local cheese, pastry, meat, bread, honey, fish, marmelade etc. The area itself is really beautiful and it was good to get out from the old town and discover other areas in the city.
