The Jolly Botanist is the latest addition to the city's increasingly popular gin scene, located conveniently close to Haymarket. The venue has a long history of being a watering hole, and we have to admit it's a rather tasteful revamp of a previous "old man's pub". The now elegant interior is a homage to Jules Verne with some quirkiness.
Why you should visit it
Visit if you love gin - in case you don't, you won't stay thirsty either. Besides the impressive selection of 70 gins from all over the world, they also have a range of wines, beers and coctails. Note that mixologists matched every gin with a specific tonic water, so you can also test the waiters' memory.
