The highest point in Finland is located on Mountain Halti's - Haldičohkka loan slope, that lies 1324 meters above sea level, at the Finnish-Norwegian Border Mark number 303B. The highest peak of the Mountain Halti, Ráisduottarháldi, is located on the Norwegian side, and is 1361 meters above sea level.
Kilpisjärvi is 36 kilometers from the Halti by flying and about 55 kilometers by walk along the Kalotti Trail. The Kalotti Trail is a hiking trail that runs through the fells of Finland, Sweden and Norway. The total length of the route is 800 km, of which approximately 70 km is on the Finnish side, 380 km in Norway and 350 km in Sweden.
