Why locals love it

Muotkatakka is the highest point on the Finnish highways, with a height of 565.8 meters. The rest stop is located about 12 kilometers south of Kilpisjärvi village. The last cannon shots were fired in the area during the Lapland War in 1945. At the rest stop, there is a monument and beautiful scenery.
