In addition to changing exhibitions, Emma's Pirtti has Finland's northernmost pharmacy museum. The items of the Pharmacy Museum were received as a donation from Sinikka Niemi, a former pharmacist in Muonio. Donations have also been made by private individuals. Pharmacy operations began in Muonio in 1903, the first pharmacy was established in 1929.
