Why locals love it
The path leading to Malla's Nature Park has a bridge over the River Siilasjoki, which descends from Lake Siilasjärvi to Lake Kilpisjärvi. Lake Siilasjärvi is 484 meters above sea level. The Lake belongs to the Könkämäeno's Flooding Area, ie the waters flow through Könkämäeno to the River Muonion-Tornion.
Why you should visit it
Along the river the water ends into the Gulf of Bothnia. From the north of Fell Jehkatstunturi, the waters all flow towards and into the Arctic Ocean.
