Why locals love it
The most popular route on Pallastunturi is the 9 kilometer long Taivaskero Trail, which travels to the top of the 809 meter Taivaskero Fell. At the top of that fell the fire of the Helsinki Olympics was ignited, so Taivaskero also plays a significant role in Finnish Sports History.
Special tip
Taivaskero' Trail can easily be linked to the 7 kilometers long Palkaskero's route, making the total length of the hike less than 15 kilometers.
