Why locals love it
Leppävaara's Church was completed in 1979, designer Olli Kuusi, renovation 2008–09. The church on a high cliff with sheltered courtyards is reminiscent of an old convent. The effect is further enhanced by the brick walls and vaults.
Why you should visit it
The hall has 315 to 450 seats. The organ was manufactured by the Kangasala organ factory in 1982, renovated in 2010. A scattering area has been planned for the site for ash burials. Leppävaara Parish was founded in 1964. Today it has about 26,000 members.
