Why locals love it

At the end of the Finnish Civil War, the German division landed in Hanko on April 3, 1918 and advanced with a strength of 9,000 men towards Helsinki, which was held by the Reds. These forces arrived on 10.4. A kilo of manor terrain. Opposite the existing bases of Nupukivenkallio and Ruusutorpanpuisto were about 1,500 Red Guards.

Why you should visit it

Surrender was negotiated at Alberga station, but the Red leadership did not agree and the Germans continued the attack on April 11, 1918 at 4 pm. The Reds withdrew to Orolanmäki. Now the Germans set out to besiege the front line through Ruukinranta and Haraka, when the red forces that suffered losses dispersed in the direction of Helsinki.

Special tip

A cobblestone was excavated on the south side of the rock on Mannerheimintie in Helsinki in 1925.
