The distinct facade of this Dominican basilica, designed by Alberti, decorates what would otherwise be a dirty and less-than-desirable area of the city (just behind it is the central train station). The church is home to works by Giambologna, Giovanni della Roba, Masaccio and more.
The interior is packed with works by great masters. In particular, keep your eyes peeled for a nativity scene attributed to the young Botticelli and for Masaccio's Trinity, which is one of the foremost examples of Renaissance perspective in painting. The museum holds old liturgical vestments, vessels and more.
