Berberè Craft Pizza & Beer5
Why locals love it
The space is super-chic and modern with a very open, almost industrial feel. Design-wise, it could be almost anywhere, yet once they taste the food visitors remember they're in one of the global gastronomic capitals! It's also popular for its delicious craft beers—artisanal beer is finally coming "in vogue" in Florence thanks to spots like this.
Why you should visit it
Pizza is probably one of the first images that pops to mind when you think of Italy—but I promise this is like no other pizza you'll find in Florence. Crust is crispy, but significantly thicker than Roman-style pizza, and lacking the doughy Naples-style texture. Topping combinations are original—think pairings like ricotta cheese and pumpkin.
You may be overwhelmed by all of the interesting combinations on offer, but even the basic margherita pizza is on point!
