Despite being within a quick walk of most of Florence's main sights—mere steps from piazza Signoria, home to some of the city's most expensive cafes—this place does not cater to tourists. They serve up delicious dishes and choices change daily. Walking by, it's so nondescript and small you could almost miss it, but it's rather spacious in the back.
It's a top pick for lunchtime if you've just visited the Uffizi or the Palazzo Vecchio but want to avoid the tourist traps in the area. You can easily have a filling lunch for under 10 euro. Walking in, you'll be able to see the staff at work and get an idea of what's good that day. One of the standouts is the tagliolini pasta with truffle sauce!
