Why locals love it
This is an expansive space outside the historic center, sandwiched between two of Florence's main residential neighborhoods, Campo di Marte and Le Cure. Green spaces are already enough of a rarity in Florence, but as a bonus, this one's got a duck pond!
Why you should visit it
If you're a runner, jogging through the streets of central Florence dodging tourists feels a little ridiculous. Here, though, there's plenty of space for a workout, plus the scenery is nicer than in the Cascine. Don't run? Take a book and be warned: the combination of the serene surroundings and pleasant weather may lead to unintentional napping!
