Why locals love it
Frankfurt citizens do love their river. When the days get warmer, we love to go to the Main and meet with friends. At the same time you have a great view of the Skyline and find yourself in a crowd of locals enjoying the greatest spot of the city.

Why you should visit it
You can buy drinks and cake at Maincafé or just bring your own stuff and enjoy the day looking at the People strolling by. You will probably walk along the river anyway but take some time and sit down on the grass with a beer or Apfelwein (cider) which is the typical drink of Frankfurt.
Special tip
You can borrow canvas chairs inside the Café. They also have blankets to lay on the grass.
