We all here know and enjoy the Carega's, a classic for a quick lunch, a break, an early dinner in the port area. Still original in its interiors, the place is a meltin' pot of different people, from local fisherman to famous lawyers. The reason is the authenticity of the recipes combined with an amazing freshness, tasteful way of cooking.
Since you can't really sit there like in a restaurant, people come and go the whole time. Any kind of people, mostly locals who work and live in the neighborhood, the port. The smell of the sea and the personalities of the clients, the usual clients who are greeted by name and the open kitchen (literally – open!) will make the experience unique.
Check the timing of the farinata, our local chickpea focaccia: it comes out of the oven right into your mouth and is simply delicious.
