Is there some type of pass that gets you into many of the tourist sites in Graz. Like Schossberg? etc

Dear Gunther, yes of course there is. I recommend to visit the Graz tourist office in Herrengasse in the old city. They are very nice and helpful there.

Hi Gunther, there is no general city pass but there‘s a 72hours ticket for public transport that includes a discount on the day pass for all Joanneum museums and for the guided city walking tour. Concerning Schlossberg there is no fee except if you take the funicular or the elevator. The funicular btw is included in every ticket for public transport. Concerning trams a certain part of the old town is free of charge.

Thanks Nadja
It will be a whirlwind tour of about 1.5 days. But we will soak up as many tourist sites as possible. Can I bother you for another question. A good valued local restaurant for schnitzel and a bakery. Ones where locals would go. Thank you again.
Try Welscher Stube for a traditional type of restaurant, or Der Steirer for a modern, cooler type of place! They have awesome typical cakes at Café Weitzer (a classical austrian café) but Schwalbennest is definetly also worth a visit. If you just wanna buy, Auer has a huge selection of sweets and bread. Get a booklet about the sights at the Tourist Info Center, if you wanna stick to classical sightseeing, they also have suggestions for other interesting spots.
