Molen de Korenaer, situated in district Loosduinen, is nowadays the only windmill in The Hague that still functions as flour mill. De Korenaer was (re)built in 1721, after the previous mill was destroyed by a hurricane.

You haven't seen The Netherlands if you haven't vistited a real Dutch windmill. It is interesting to learn how a mill works. Next to that you have a nice view from the platform and you can buy flour for pancakes, bread or zandkoekjes in the shop.
In special occasions it is possible to visit De Korenaer outside the regular opening hours. Contact the millers via email to ask for an appointment.
