Lawrencetown Beach is a provincial beach park 19km east of Dartmouth along the Eastern Shore. The Sand-and-cobble beach is noted for its surf. Strong rip tides & currents are common; swimmers & surfers must exercise caution. Supervised swimming areas in July/August. Ramped boardwalks, change houses, showers & toilets and connects to walking trail.

Lawrencetown is known for its surf. You can sign up for surfing lessons near the park. These well-established surfing schools have everything you need for your saltwater adventure – wetsuits, boards and lots of patience. By sundown they'll have you feeling the thrill of catching your first wave.
