Lawrencetown Beach is a provincial beach park 19km east of Dartmouth along the Eastern Shore. The Sand-and-cobble beach is noted for its surf. Strong rip tides & currents are common; swimmers & surfers must exercise caution. Supervised swimming areas in July/August. Ramped boardwalks, change houses, showers & toilets and connects to walking trail.

The Dingle is tucked away in Sir Sanford Flemming park on the Northwest Arm. It's a relaxing drive not far from the city, there are covered picnic tables on site, a walking trail and small beach at the park. If the tower is open you can climb the stairs for a beautiful view and a stunning sunset.
