Why locals love it
Health and safety nightmare, and not for the faint heart hearted but really good adrenaline walk. Historic bridge with railway line in the centre, parts are still missing from bombing. Built by french architect Eiffel. Worthwhile walk in my view.
Why you should visit it
An interesting piece of historical and modern Hanoi, Long Bien sits on the northern edge of the Old Quarter a testament to the history and resilience of Vietnam. We enjoyed sipping egg coffee from a cafe on the west side of the bridge and contemplating the symbolism of this iconic architectural wonder. Most enjoyable!
Special tip
Pretty cool to experience to walk across this bridge. Located in the old quarter, it is just an experience to find it. Walk along the tracks.
