This is identified as world heritage site by UNESCO and it is a palace built in the 19th century and despite it being damaged it is worth seeing. Even after so many years it gives you an idea of how rulers in those days were living and had planned lot of things we plan for today.
The underground headquarters of Gen. Giap during what the Vietnamese call the "American War" was fascinating. If you watched the PBS documentaries, you'll recognize the room. The excavation is ongoing, and you can see what the archaeologists are doing, simply fascinating. Don't miss this one!
