Loved the museum, a must see for everyone. Makes you question the everyday frenzy if you sit for a while on a concrete bed, in near complete darkness and think how would that be to stay there for a year, or for eternity. Also good historic insight into the French and the Americans in Vietnam. Seems that the Vietnamese are proud of treating American
This is another not to be missed experience. While the majority of the museum represents the long history of Vietnamese wars and prisoners. This prison was built by the French to house prisoners found guilty in the courts right next door and where they used to use the guillotine outside in front of the prison to discourage people from disobeying.
This is a must see if you want to know a bit about Hanoi and the recent 1900's history of Vietnam and Indochina.
