The work of making forging products is hard and complicated with various processes, such as making rough drafts, keeping fires burning, hitting red-hot iron into shape with hammers, tempering (strengthening) the metal with water – and then sharpening the final product. In this course, you will go through all processes of making a simple knife.
Why you should visit it
A very special experience with a great host and craftsman. A perfect escape from the busy and overwhelming Hanoi old quarter. We did two ‘little’ knives which are still quite big, but you can also opt for a bigger knife for a reasonable premium. The class is fun and suitable for almost everybody, thanks to the nice hosts who explain everything.
Special tip
The activity was a good balance of making the knife yourself but also some "adjustments" from the craftsmen to make sure the knife ends up reasonably
