Resembling the Opéra Palais Garnier, Hanoi Opera House, built in 10 years since 1911 by two French architects. The magnificent building became one of the top landmarks in Hanoi. The Opera House hosts cultural entertaining performances, bamboo cirque, contemporary dance, orchestra concerts and government events.
Apparently, the only way to view the interior of the Opera House is to go to a performance. The performance was great, and the Opera House is a beautiful building, but the traffic from road closures and security was insane. Luckily, these kind of events are rare. Overall, though, the Opera House was fun to look at and go to a show in.
This grand building stands proudly and graciously in a prominent square. I love the French influence and grand columns that give it such a presence.
