Hands down the best museum in Vietnam. We’ve been to a few in HCMC and Hanoi and we’re quite disappointed by the labels and exhibits. The museum of ethnology has fantastic descriptions, is well laid out, has a lot of varied artefacts and videos and is well worth a visit. Fantastic recreations of minority houses out the back of the museum.
Take the 14 bus from the old quarter for 7k vnd. Took about 3 hours to see the whole exhibit. Skip the Ho Chi Minh Museum and go here instead.
