Focused on the contribution of women to Vietnam's history and culture, this museum highlights their roles in Vietnam's many military conflicts as well as in commerce, including features on female street vendors, women's role in the family, and more recently, single mothers in Vietnam.
Why you should visit it
This museum is first class. It covers very recent history and provides social / ethnographic context to the world outside. We got the audio tour and it is excellent. I spent over three hours there and didn't cover everything. You could easily do two trips. My only suggestion is that the audio numbers should be clearer (easier to find).
Special tip
It has interesting exhibits that are well presented with useful information and an audio guide that gives stories and explanations.
