Helsinki Civil Protection Museum, the visitor can get acquainted with the civil defense of wars. At the same time the general history of civil protection as well seeing present solutions of civil defenses. The war in Helsinki, 1939-1944, was the period of fear. The bomb planes flew over the city each day making civil protection the main priority.

The cellar has been built to protect against the effects of bombardment, during the war period, and even has sound effects of bombings. Museum is open on Saturdays from September to May. Helsinki Väestönsuojeluyhdistys ry organizes security training for the associations, groups and school classes visiting the museum.
