Petter Wetter took over the lands surrounding the area, Herttoniemi's Manor was born roughly at the beginning of the 18th century. The museum was established in 1925. The Herttoniemi Manor Museum is open to the public on Sundays from May until the end of September. Manor has served as the scenic backdrop for several films.
Why you should visit it
The Manor, its estate and adjoining buildings have a colourful history. Over the years the estate has gone through all the typical stages of development, which mark the history of manors in general. There's also a restaurant Vanha Mylly operates in the manor's wing building.
