Why locals love it

Here, at the Air Quality Monitoring Station, Helsinki's air quality is measured. The purpose of the measurements is to describe the air quality in the busy city areas. This measuring station measures, among other things, concentrations of nitrogen oxide, particles of different sizes and black carbon.

Why you should visit it

On the wall of the measuring station there is a QR code that gives you a glimpse of what air quality has been like in the last 12 hours. To read the QR code you should install Barcode Scanner on your phone. These monitors are located around Helsinki area, the locations of these monitors can be seen on the HSY map, provided through the link.
