Relax, Finnish way.
Why locals love it
A legendary common sauna, Kotiharjun Sauna is the only traditionally wood-heated sauna in Helsinki. It’s definitely the part of Finnish culture that must be experienced. So forget your doubts, pack your sauna gear and de-stress in the sauna as the Finns have done for centuries.
Why you should visit it
You should bring your own sauna beer or cider and snacks with you. Also buying a vihta (birch leaves which you use to hit yourself in sauna) is something that you should consider. It doesn't sound relaxing, but it is – believe me. And that lovely smell! Open Tue–Sun 2 pm–8 pm, €12.
