Why locals love it
Depending on the season you can come out here for berry picking or mushroom picking - or just to have your lunch stolen by a curious squirrel. Joggers can be found out here at all times of year, braving the cold or enjoying the sunshine, and frequently doing both of the above.
Why you should visit it
This small string of islands to the west of the centre is definitely worth walking, cycling, or taking a very short bus trip (bus 65, 66 or any "T" bus from Kamppi) out to. Get lost in the forest just ten minutes from the city centre. Perfect if you're starting to feel jaded by the cityscape.
Special tip
You guessed it "saari" means "island" in Finnish.
