Chain restourands 3 course 30 is €
mid range 3 course 45-50€
expensive places 3 courses 60->

the thing with eating in helsinki is that the alcoholtax is insane. Small glass of house wine is in helsinki city center usualy around 10€

How I see it, is that there several options available, depending on the time slot and what you would prefer to eat. Most restaurants offer quote wide selection at around 15 pm. The part of town definitively affect the price level a bit, but it is remarkable. But on weekdays ca.1 pm- 3 pm you will not fail to find a cozy place for lunch.

Budget meal is be around 10-14 euros in fast-food and small restaurants. You can purchase sandwiches, salads, pizza and similar foods for 5-10 euros, open buffet salads for 12-15 euros within big supermarkets like K-Market or S-Market in the citycentre. Fine dining (especially w/alcohol) is quite expensive, regardless of the content - better the place look, more you will pay for the same sandwich :)

Depends where you go & what you want to eat! There's tons of "lunch restaurants" where you can find buffets for around €10.50. These can be a mix of Asian-Fusian, traditional Finnish, Chinese, Indian, Pizza.

Main courses in evening dining restaurants vary from between €15 - €30 in mid-range restaurants.

However, where you get burned is when buying alcohol. A bottle of wine in most restaurants will set you back between €30 - €45.

(We spent €70 last night on 2 pizzas & a bottle of house white in a hipster bar).

Obviously you can find cheaper/more expensive but I find those to be the average mid-range prices.

Compared to NY or Rome not yoo expensive, but be careful to research the place as quality varies quite a bit. Lunches can be as cheap as 10€ in most places and dinners on both sides of 20€ perhaps more on the above side. 🙂
