Needs to be central as walking everywhere and safe area early evening but also suggestions for lunch too. They are aged 14-15 and NOT city kids.

Hi!
For teenagers aged 14-15 I'd suggest the restaurants and cafes at Kamppi shopping center. It's walking distance from the main railway station. Also very safe.
On the E-level, same level as Narinkka-tori (Narinkka-square), there's lots of eateries...
Tortilla House, Namaskaar express (Indian), Tex mex, sushi.
Further down there's Subway and Burger King and many more. Just check out the floor plan of the shopping centre.

Also walking distance from the railway station.

Fafa's has kebab and falafel. Near the Kamppi shopping centre.

NOTE: Kamppi is the name of the central district and the shopping centre.

Eerikin pippuri: reasonable priced pizzas and kebabs. In Forum shopping centre food court, (ground floor).
And also in Mannerheimintie 14.

Enjoy your stay!

Notice the possible exceptional opening hours during Easter.

Thanks that's really helpful
Hi Valerie,

Some of the chain restaurants in the city centre such as "Vapiano" and "Friends & Brgrs" might be suitable. Both very central, reasonably priced & in safe areas. (Helsinki is generally quite safe but I would advise they steer clear of the central station in the evening just to be sure).

Be aware though, there may be a lot of places closed on Easter Sunday so double check opening hours.

Do you have an idea of a per head budget? Helsinki can be very expensive for eating out. The cheaper eateries I usually go to are more adult oriented (cocktails & tacos type) which I don't think would be suitable!
