Why locals love it

After the Ice Age, Sorsavuori was an island. At its head there is rocky a burial grave, discovered in 1886 from the Bronze Age, approximately 2,500 to 3,500 years old. The mound is a fixed ancient remnant, and damaging this sight is prohibited by law. On the sight, there's a Information Board of the National Board of Antiquities.

Why you should visit it

The Sorsavuori's Park was designed by Jussi Luomanen, the rocky west side is left in it's natural state. The old cornerstone base is left of the Construction Director General's Sebastian Gripenberg's Swiss-style Sorsaniemi-villa from 1886.Inside the hill, is a emergency shelter that is in use as a car park, during peace.
