The National Theater is located at the edge of Helsinki's Rautatientori. Theater has six stages. The National Theater is the oldest Finnish-language theater founded in 1872. The National Theater is an artistic theater featuring the latest Finnish drama, the most interesting foreign plays and the best classics.

There are fifteen annual premiere performances and a total of almost 50 different performances in the program. The total number of viewer contacts in the National Theater in 2018 was almost 195,000 and the overall usage rate was 77%. Special tip
The National Theater receives support from the Ministry of Education and Culture. Kantti is a Youth Theater Department established in 2019.
