Field Huts on the People's Public Garden

Talin Siirtolapuutarha

Why locals love it

Tali's Allotment was founded 1935. Helsinki City started to build roads, draining to the tiny plots and started to sell shares of a new Allotment Garden to the people. Allotment was a owned garden area, sometimes city's or privately owned small blocks of land to farm. In Finland, land is most commonly 3-4 acres and are rented for long-term.
