I had the pleasure to attend Hop'n Shake Tours' "the Butts of Helsinki" walking tour and was pleasantly surprised, as I usually tend to tour on my own and don't like to join group tours or big hoards of people. The tour was quite the opposite: Group size was kept intimate and we learned fun facts and curiosities about the sights. I also really loved the guide: she had a personal touch a was a natural storyteller. Would highly recommend this tour for a fun day in Helsinki!

Description
This tour takes place in central Helsinki. During our walk you’ll see some interesting backsides and hear the stories behind them. There’s a short tram ride to the Olympic Stadium along the Mannerheimintie, which is a good way to spot some of the city’s most important buildings.
Some of the statues were erected in the 1920s to celebrate the young country of Finland and its capital city. We’ll meet Tellervo – the daughter of the king of the forest, Paavo Nurmi – the Flying Finn, and several Tove Janssons – the mother of the Moomin characters.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours. Please note that although there’s a short tram ride, this is mostly a walking tour.
Participants: Maximum 15 persons.
Meeting point: In front of Helenankatu 3 street
What to wear: Please wear comfortable shoes and dress according to the weather. Keep in mind that it’s general windy in Helsinki all year round!
