where to stay in Hongkong from half November - half December

From mid-November to mid-December we (together with my partner) have chosen Hong Kong as a base to travel to neighboring countries. Our plan is to stay several times for a couple of days in Hong Kong, before we leave for another country. Does anyone know a place to stay?

Thanks all for your reactions, staying in the more natural side of Hong Kong is a good advice, hope to find a good place on Airbnb.

Have you tried Airbnb? There are many flats in different neighborhood that would be available to let for short term stays.

Is this your first time in Hong Kong? If so, stay near any of the MTR stations. It'll help you get to where you want to go.

What kind of experience are looking for in Hong Kong? This will help narrow down your search.

For long conservative stays you can ask for deals.

You might even look into service apartments to see if they'll be a better deal.

If you wanna try something good in affordable price, Airbnb should be a good choice, especially there is a hostel called Wontonmeen (http://wontonmeen.com), in which there is a great cafe on the ground floor.

Leo's suggestions is good, you may also consider stay in Wong Chuk Hang, if you would like to stay closer to the HK island city. Which is cheaper than Central, Admiralty and Wan Chai.

Generally, hotels are overpriced during summer. I would recomend using websites like airbnb or booking.com for cheaper choices.

For two weeks leisure travelling, would recommend to experience more the natural side of HK. Suggest to stay in outskirt island like Lamma Island which has beach and short hiking route, or Cheung Chau.
