Inari's Sami Church
Why locals love it
In the middle of the village of Inari, the Lutheran Inari Sámi Church was completed in the bombing of the ruins of a former church that had been destroyed in 1940 with drawings from the building board. The altarpiece (1938) painted by Väinö Saiko depicts the appearance of Christ to a traveling Sami family.
